The context
Caiger & Co's events catering offering includes a significant weddings vertical, high-value contracts requiring long lead times and early relationship-building with couples in the planning phase. The challenge is that most couples in the planning phase aren't yet thinking about catering: they're thinking about venues, dresses, photographers. Getting into that conversation early, and staying there, requires a reason to engage before the buying decision is made.
The challenge
To create a marketing asset that would be genuinely useful to a couple planning a 2026 wedding, something they'd actively want, that would simultaneously capture their contact details, introduce them to Caiger & Co's brand world and begin a relationship long before a formal enquiry.
The insight
The most effective lead magnets give people something they actually want. A wedding trends guide, if editorial in quality, genuinely useful in content and aesthetically aligned with the brand, would reach couples in the research phase, demonstrate taste and expertise, and build brand familiarity before the competition had started.
The strategy
I developed the guide as an editorial piece rather than a marketing brochure: a curated look at 2026 wedding trends across food, drink, styling and experience, authored from the perspective of a team that has produced hundreds of weddings at a high standard. The guide was gated behind an email capture form, feeding directly into a Klaviyo nurture sequence designed to move engaged couples from initial interest toward a formal enquiry.
What I built
- Full editorial guide: 2026 wedding food and drink trends, styling direction, experiential formats and planning insight
- Brand piece on Caiger & Co's planning process and team expertise
- Email capture landing page
The outcome
A lead generation asset that reaches prospective clients at the earliest stage of their planning journey, builds brand familiarity through useful editorial content, and creates a CRM pipeline of warm contacts before a single sales conversation has taken place.
What this proves
This case study demonstrates content marketing strategy and CRM thinking: the ability to create an asset that serves the audience genuinely while serving the business commercially, and to build the infrastructure that turns content engagement into a managed sales pipeline.
