The context
Caiger & Co is the workplace and events catering arm of The Fendale Group, a brand operating in a highly competitive contract catering market where relationships with venues are won through formal tender processes. For a brand at this stage of growth, each tender win isn't just a revenue line: it's a proof of credibility that opens the next door.

The challenge
Tender submissions in the catering sector tend to look identical: operational credentials, team profiles, menus, pricing. The opportunity was to write tenders that led with brand narrative, that communicated not just what Caiger & Co could deliver operationally, but why the match between the brand and the venue was specific, deliberate and worth choosing.

The insight
Venue decision-makers don't just want a caterer, they want a partner whose brand fits their own. If a tender can make a decision-maker feel that Caiger & Co genuinely understands their venue, their audience and their identity, the operational credentials become confirmation rather than argument.

The strategy
I developed a commercial narrative framework that positioned Caiger & Co's brand values before its capabilities, leading each submission with a clear articulation of who Caiger & Co is and why this venue specifically is the right context for that identity. The operational evidence followed the strategic narrative, not the other way around.

The outcome
Three successful commercial tender wins across 2025–26:
Battersea Arts Centre: a creative arts venue requiring a food and events partner that matched its cultural positioning
St Giles Hotel: a central London hotel venue requiring a workplace catering partner aligned with its corporate client base
Royal Hospital Chelsea: a historic, high-prestige venue requiring a partner with both operational rigour and brand sensitivity

What this proves
This case study demonstrates the commercial application of brand strategy: the ability to translate brand positioning into sales-enabling narrative, and to connect strategic storytelling directly to contract wins and revenue outcomes.
